I am a BACP Registered Psychodynamic Counsellor with 20 years’ experience supporting adults, adolescents, and children through both short- and longer-term counselling. I offer a warm, thoughtful space to explore what may be going on beneath the surface, helping clients better understand their feelings, build self-awareness, and find a way forward.
My work is relational and integrative, underpinned by Attachment Theory and informed by neuroscience and an understanding of how early experiences shape emotional responses, relationships, and our sense of self. I tailor therapy to each individual, drawing on psychodynamic thinking alongside mindfulness, CBT, psychoeducation, and creative approaches. When words feel difficult, particularly for children and young people, play, art, movement, and sensory tools can support emotional expression and communication.
I bring a breadth of experience across schools, SEND settings, the NHS, residential care, and international environments, supporting adults, children, and young people with anxiety, low mood, trauma, bereavement, self-esteem challenges, bullying, and emotional or relational difficulties. I also have particular experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people, including those with ADHD, autism, and complex needs, and work collaboratively with parents and caregivers where helpful.
