I have particular success in helping clients with anxiety (panic attacks, phobias, OCD), depression, sleep issues and overcoming trauma (Rewind technique) in as few sessions as possible. I can also assist with habit and behavior change, stress, anger, burnout, self-esteem, confidence and relationship issues.
Using the latest most effective techniques informed by the Human Givens (HG) approach to mental health and wellbeing, my practice is integrative and solution-focussed, helping clients move forwards in the minimum possible number of sessions. To support clients’ progress, I use measurable outcomes.
At the heart of the approach is the understanding that we all come into the world with a set of emotional needs and that our emotions usually come before our thoughts.
When our needs are met, we are mentally healthy. I support each client to better meet these needs by using their resources in balanced, healthy new ways.
Following my own 15-year corporate career and sometimes challenging personal journey, I enjoy enabling clients to deal with difficulties such as unhelpful conditioning, change unhelpful patterns of behaviour and take back control of their lives.
The approach adds to cognitive, behavioural, person-centred, interpersonal, NLP, motivational interviewing, mindfulness and clinical hypnotherapy and is based on the latest advances in neuroscience. It is practical focusing on what’s needed to live a mentally healthy and fulfilling life.
I am a member of the Human Givens Institute (HG.Dip.P., MHGI), fully-accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA), currently working in private practice and the charity sector.
